Final Year Project

Project Title

Autonomous Tow Truck Localization and Path Planning

Description

For my capstone project, I am working on retrofitting an autonomous system on the electric tow truck that operates within Toyota's plant. The goal is to improve localization and path planning, allowing the truck (with trailer hitched at its rear end) to navigate efficiently without human intervention. We are using LiDAR-based SLAM for mapping and localization, along with an MPPI control for navigation. By integrating robotics, and control systems, this project aims to enhance warehouse automation, making operations safer and more efficient.
